Easy Vegan Pesto


In today's video, we're making an easy and delicious vegan pesto (nut-free). I'm going to show you how to make this vegan pesto that only needs a few ingredients. This recipe is vegan-friendly, gluten-free and nut-free. I replaced the Parmesan cheese with Nutritional Yeast which a yeast (duh) hahaha it has a nutty, and salty taste. It contains vitamin B12 (great for the non-meat eaters). I also added Hemp Hearts instead of pine nuts. Hemp Hearts are an excellent source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids and they are full of protein. I


like to use this pesto in salads, pasta, bread and so much more.

INGREDIENTS: 2 cups organic basil ½ cup of Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts 1/3 cup of nutritional yeast ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil Pink Himalayan salt, to taste 1 tablespoon lemon juice
